Sumaya Dalmia, one of the leading fitness and wellness professionals in the Country, has been the pioneer of the Wellness and Fitness industry since 1997. Sumaya is the owner & founder of Delhi's first state-of-the-art personal training studio, which focuses on customised fitness routines with a complete focus on individual lifestyle management under the brand 'SUMAYA' (www.sumaya.in). SUMAYA is located in South Delhi and is spread over 5000 square feet, including 1500 square feet of group fitness studio space.

A graduate of Economics Honors from St. Stephens College, she chose to be a part of the fitness industry to follow her passion of helping people achieve their health & fitness goals and has played a key role in the development of the Wellness industry in India.

In addition to having a Masters Degree in Sports Science, she is certified in 11 disciplines by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as well as Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFFA) and is also a trained Pilates Professional from the Pilates Foundation.

Always at the cutting edge of fitness and nutrition, her holistic approach to training, wellness & fat loss has made her one of the most sought-after health professionals in the country.

She was the Creative Director at one of India's best known Spa Design & Management companies, Pevonia Spa. She has been associated with the design of multiple prestigious projects across India including launching a day spa brand as early as 2003.

Sumaya Dalmia also owns a fitness apparel business called 'Perfection Possible' which was launched in January 2013 with great success. Perfection Possible is also building a unique fitness portal online on www.perfectionpossible.com, to be launched in Q2 of 2014. Sumaya also founded Crème Wellness which owns one of Delhi's most luxurious Day Spas under the brand CRÈME which has won several awards.

Sumaya writes a regular column for the Mint Newspaper called "The Fitness Trail" and is a frequent contributor for Harpers Bazaar, Women’s Health, etc. She was voted as one of the Top 5 fitness professionals in the country by Women’s Health Magazine. She has contributed her knowledge and experience in articles for publications like Spa Asia, Cosmopolitan, The Hindustan Times, The Times of India, Femina, etc. She has trained models at the Elite Model Academy and hosted several Health and fitness programs on television for NDTV, Star Plus, Zee TV, CNN-IBN, NDTV Good Times, etc. including a daily show on Zee TV which had 140 episodes.

Sumaya believes that fitness is not just a theoretical science but requires hands-on experience, on and off the gym floor to understand unique fitness requirements for various individuals.
